Because I love a flashback and a side by side, here's what the girls looked like last May during the first water table day of the year.

Take That SAD
It's official spring is here! Go ahead high five the person next to you, I'll wait. I cannot even express how great it feels to enjoy this weather. Two hours outside does wonders. We have been to the park, taken walks after dinner, sidewalk chalked some masterpieces, and just basked in the most wonderful time of the year. Today we broke out the water table for the first time. We are planning an upgrade, in the water table/sandbox department but the old gal has a few more go rounds left. Annie loved her first time participating in the water table fun, last year she was still in spectator mode.

14
I just looked back at Annie's 13 month post. The biggest development in the past month is that suddenly Miss Annie is a big flirt. Dave and Icie went to the library yesterday morning, so Annie was grocery buddy.
Everyone that passed by got a "HI!!!" and a smile. The people that actually responded got a couple of eyelash bats and more smiles, a select few old men got blown kisses.
Tantrums have started to pop up more frequently, but for the most part she's still a pretty happy little lady.

Sigh, Finally.
Spring has been so slow on the draw this year. My creativity is zapped. Cabin fever is not even near an adequate description for the crazy that has taken over our house.
Monday we got a much needed break. The forecast had called for a high in the sixties, but rain all day. The morning looked iffy. The sky was overcast in one direction and almost sunny in the other direction. We had some drizzle in the morning, but by lunch time it looked as though the afternoon maybe decent.
The girls and I went and did some shopping, and half way through our walk around the plaza, for the first time all year we were able to go jacket-coat(Icie never ever calls it a jacket or a coat, it's always always a jacket-coat) free. It was amazing.
We ate dinner at Sonic with the windows open. We came home and played outside in the driveway for an hour before bath time.
Our whole neighborhood seemed to be breathing a sigh of relief. Our street is typically really quiet, because there are no houses built on the lots across the street just yet. There are only five houses on our block. The street makes a loop back to the main part of our subdivision, so a lot of people walk the empty loop with their kids and dogs.
Icie loved dancing around the driveway and running to the end to greet each new passerby. Annie followed her lead.
It just felt so good. I can't wait until we get a good enough streak of weather so that we can end everyday like that.

Lucky 13
At 13 months:
- Annie runs.
- Annie climbs.
- Annie bites.
- Annie says: Daddy, bite, baba, bunny, awww, ball, doll, pup, kitty, bye, and hop.
- Annie knows that a kitty says meow and a snake says ssssssss.
- Annie dances.
- Annie eats anything.
- Annie loves her binky, Chica from Sprout, her baby doll, Icie's Doc McStuffins doll, Super Why, french fries, sweet potatoes, and yogurt in a tube.
- Annie does not love strangers, the Easter Bunny, dogs, or headbands.

Here Comes The Sun, Maybe?
The weather report for the weekend shows a little more improvement and I am hopeful. The more time we are able to spend outside the better.
There really isn't a whole lot to report around here. I really would love to have something to write. Our days have become a really boring routine. Breakfast, playtime, lunch, car ride, movie, dinner, playtime, bath, bed. Lather, rinse, repeat.
The afternoon car ride has become our high light of the day. Sometimes there's an actual purpose to the ride, a stop at the post office or the bank, but most days it's just "exploring". Annie naps, Icie and I chat and listen to Radio Disney. We drive around neighborhoods we've never seen. We look for rumble strips. We check both rivers to see if they are still frozen. Sometimes we take Dave a coffee and say hi to everyone in the office. Some days the ride is just an excuse for me to be able to strap both kids down. Annie is more mobile and driving Icie crazy and vice versa. They shove each other, steal toys, and scream. Annie bites, Icie screams, Annie screams, Icie shoves. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. So by the time lunch rolls around, I grab a bink for Annie and a sippy cup for Icie and run to the garage door.
Today provided a glimmer of hope, that soon instead of running to the garage we'll be opening the back door to play.

Bunny, Bunny.
This morning we visited the Easter Bunny. We were the first in line. The girl working with the Easter Bunny was quick and she caught this decent picture before Annie completely freaked.
As always here's a little flashback.
